Payments
Fees - due and payable in advance for the upcoming month on
the last weekday of each previous month before noon. (IE: March 1st payment would
be due the last weekday of Feb) I do send our a reminder text because I know life is crazy!
Forms of Payment - postdated cheques or e-transfers If paying by E-transfers, a filled out UNDATED cheque will be kept on file in case of any issues with the transfer. If postdated cheque is your choice, cheques in 6 month batch minimum will be kept on file.
*There is no reduction in monthly fees for your holidays, days your child stays home sick or days you make alternate care arrangements*
Late Payments - daycare payments are subject to a $20 per day or $100.00 late fee (which ever is greater) paid in full when daycare payment is made.
This also includes weekends or holidays that land on the payment due date. No receipt will be given for late payments, NSF charges or holding fees.
To avoid late payments or uncomfortable situations please ensure that payment is received before the due date and time. (Any unused cheques will be returned upon last day in care or destroyed with your consent)
Late Fees & NSF Charges - All NSF Cheques will be subject to a $100.00 handling fee and any additional bank costs I incur.
After the first NSF cheque you may be required to pay a deposit of 1/2 the months fee to ensure no disruption in payment.
Late pick-up fees may be charged at the providers discretion. ($20.00/15 min-no partial time) Cash upon pick-up is required and no receipt will be given. But please, to avoid this issue try your best to pick-up your child on time.
Not only is my "family time" being disrupted, but your child is very excited to see you too!!
Sick & Personal Days
There
will be no reimbursement given for child sick days, child absent for
scheduled day or family vacation.
Please allow up to 5 days throughout the year for provider sick days that will be paid days. This does not include Covid - If I test positive for Covid-19 or have all the symptoms of Covid-19 please allow for up to 7 days to be closed. I will test with a rapid test, but as we all know sometimes they do not pick up the virus 100% of the time. (This may decrease as each variant loses its severity) Please allow for 3 personal days - these can be a funeral, a graduation or any other personal reason. These will be given with as much notice as possible. I take up to 4 doctor days a year where I book my annual doctor, eye and dentist appointments. I do this to be more convenient then booking numerous appointments throughout the year. These days are not reimbursable and not always used either. I do try to organize as many doctors appointments and such on days that are the least inconvenient as possible for everyone, but know that I cannot please everyone every time. I do not make it a habit to call in sick often, and what you may stay home from the office with, I can still usually deal with at my 'office'. But please realize that even when your children are brought into my home with runny noses, coughing, sneezing and fevers, I will still be holding them, hugging them and loving them - so eventually their germs will find their way to me. Anything over those days can be your choice if you would like to receive a reimbursement for provider sick days or provider personal days.
Vacation Days
There are 3 weeks of paid vacation time that I will book off. Notice will be provided to you on or before April 30th in order to qualify to be a paid vacation during the summer months. If time is booked outside the summer months a minimum of 1 month notice is to be given to the parents in order for them to arrange alternate care or to coordinate their vacation time. This vacation time is a wonderful time for me to recharge and return to caring for your child full of zest and vitality!! It is also a great way to show that the job I do is appreciated!! If you are 'holding' your position over the summer during this paid vacation time you will still be charged the full time rate for that time. I also close for the week between Christmas and New Years. If daycare stat holidays fall on weekends there will be a day in lieu. Daycare holidays are considered closure days that are not Stat holidays. These will be Christmas Eve, New Years Eve, Easter Monday, Truth & Reconciliation Day. I do not reimburse for these days. If any holidays fall on your scheduled days of care (P/T or F/T) these will be included in your monthly fee and will not be reimbursed.
Emergency/Surgery
If I am hospitalized, require surgery or have an accident that will make it unable for me to take care of your child anything over 7 days will be reimbursed.
Statutory & Daycare Holidays
P/T and F/T families are charged for all statutory holidays and sick days if it was a usual scheduled day at the daycare. P/T families cannot 'move days' to make up for sick days, hospitalization or Stat holidays.
New Year's Day * Family Day * Good Friday * Easter Monday * Victoria Day * Canada Day * Civic Holiday
Labour Day * Truth & Reconciliation * Thanksgiving Day * Remembrance Day * Christmas Eve * Christmas Day
If these days fall on the weekend a day-in-lieu will be taken
Termination
Termination by either provider or parent requires 1 month notice and will be accepted on the 1st of the month. Reimbursement will not be given for notice under the month required. If 1 months notice is not given the remainder of the term must be paid out in order to honor your childcare contract. This will be accepted by e-transfer or cash. Your receipt will be held until payment has been received.
